7. FOOD SAFETY, HANDLING & STORAGE
Our products are raw meat products and require proper temperature control, storage, preparation, and cooking.
By purchasing our products, you acknowledge that appropriate handling is essential to maintaining food safety.
Customers should:
Inspect products promptly upon delivery.
Keep frozen products stored at 0°F or below.
Keep refrigerated products at 40°F or below.
Thaw frozen meat in the refrigerator or using another USDA-approved safe method, never unattended on the countertop.
Prevent cross-contamination between raw meat and ready-to-eat foods.
Clean and sanitize hands, utensils, and food preparation surfaces after handling raw meat.
Cook products to applicable USDA-recommended safe internal temperatures, using a food thermometer.
Ground meat should generally be cooked to a minimum internal temperature of 160°F. Whole cuts of meat should generally reach at least 145°F and rest for at least three minutes, subject to applicable guidance for the product.
