SHIPPING INFORMATION
Effective Date: October 28, 2026
From our land to your table, every Big Blue Bull Venison Co. order is prepared with purpose.
Our ranch-raised eland meat is carefully processed, packaged, and shipped frozen to preserve its quality and freshness. Because we fulfill orders individually rather than shipping from a conventional retail inventory, please review our processing and delivery information before ordering.
ORDER PROCESSING & FULFILLMENT
Please allow approximately two weeks for order processing before shipment.
Each order is processed following purchase, allowing us to prepare and fulfill your selections with attention to quality, handling, and freshness.
Our standard processing lead time is approximately 14 calendar days from order confirmation, excluding shipping transit time.
Processing times are estimates and may vary due to product availability, processing schedules, order volume, holidays, or circumstances beyond our control.
Once your order has been prepared and transferred to our shipping carrier, you will receive shipping confirmation and tracking information.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Big Blue Bull Venison Co. offers shipping to eligible destinations within the contiguous United States.
Because our products are frozen and perishable, shipments are scheduled using delivery services appropriate for temperature-sensitive food products.
Actual transit times depend on the destination, shipping method, carrier availability, and delivery conditions.
Our fulfillment team schedules shipments to help minimize unnecessary transit delays and avoid extended carrier storage over weekends or holidays whenever possible.
Shipping and handling charges, if applicable, will be displayed during checkout before payment.
HOW WE PACKAGE YOUR ORDER
Quality doesn't end at the ranch.
Our eland meat is packaged for frozen shipment using insulated shipping materials and dry ice or other appropriate cooling methods designed to maintain safe temperatures during transit.
Each shipment is prepared with consideration for product weight, destination, shipping duration, and expected weather conditions.
Dry ice may partially or completely dissipate during transit. The absence of visible dry ice at delivery does not necessarily indicate that the meat is unsafe.
Always inspect the condition and temperature of your products upon arrival.
RECEIVING YOUR DELIVERY
Because we ship perishable products, we strongly recommend making arrangements to receive your order on its scheduled delivery date.
Once delivered:
Retrieve your package as soon as possible.
Open the shipping container and inspect the products.
Check the temperature of any meat that is not fully frozen using a clean food thermometer.
Immediately transfer products to a freezer maintained at 0°F or below, or refrigerate at 40°F or below if preparing promptly.
Contact our team immediately if anything appears damaged, missing, or unsafe.
Do not leave delivered products unattended outdoors for extended periods, especially during warm weather.
Carrier delivery notifications do not replace the need to monitor your shipment and arrange for timely storage.
FOOD SAFETY & PRODUCT TEMPERATURE
Our products are intended to arrive frozen or at a safe refrigerated temperature.
According to USDA food safety guidance, frozen meat that still contains ice crystals or measures 40°F or below can generally be safely refrozen or refrigerated for prompt use.
If products arrive above 40°F, or if you have reason to believe they have been held at unsafe temperatures, do not consume them.
If the temperature history is uncertain, prioritize food safety and discard questionable products.
Please contact our customer service team promptly to report any concern.
DRY ICE SAFETY
Some shipments may contain dry ice to help maintain temperatures during transportation.
Please observe the following precautions:
Do not touch dry ice with bare hands. Use insulated gloves or appropriate protective materials.
Keep dry ice away from children and pets.
Do not place dry ice in airtight containers.
Do not store dry ice in a refrigerator or freezer.
Allow remaining dry ice to dissipate naturally in a well-ventilated area away from people and pets.
Never handle dry ice in an enclosed or poorly ventilated space. Dry ice releases carbon dioxide gas as it sublimates.
SHIPPING ADDRESSES & RESTRICTIONS
Customers are responsible for providing a complete, accurate physical delivery address at checkout.
We are unable to ship frozen meat to P.O. boxes.
Certain remote, restricted, or otherwise inaccessible delivery locations may not qualify for shipment.
If an address cannot be served safely or reliably, we will contact you to discuss an alternative or provide an appropriate refund.
Please verify all shipping information before completing your purchase.
DELIVERY DELAYS & WEATHER CONDITIONS
Weather events, carrier disruptions, holidays, and other unforeseen circumstances may affect fulfillment or delivery schedules.
Because food safety is our priority, we may adjust shipment dates when necessary to reduce the risk of prolonged transit or temperature exposure.
If we cannot ship within the promised processing window, we will notify you and provide appropriate options to accept a revised shipment date or cancel for a refund, in accordance with applicable law.
ORDER CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS
If you need to correct your shipping address or request an order change, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes before final processing and fulfillment. Once an order has shipped, changes may not be possible.
Unauthorized rerouting or changes made directly through a carrier may compromise delivery timing and product condition.
